Our Story

We met at the end of 2016 when we were introduced by

Rico's good friend and best man, Alex.

We believe that our wedding day is a celebration not only of our love, but of the joining of our two extended families and sets of friends.

Together, we look forward to welcoming you all to our happy place

- Iznájar, Spain.

The location has a very special place in our hearts.

Helpful Information

Airport and Car Hire

The closest airport is Malaga which is just over an hour from Iznájar. Cars can be rented in advance, either collected directly from the airport terminal or via courtesy shuttle buses located at the front of the airport.  We recommend using Helle Hollis or Wiber and advise against using Del Paso!

Wedding Location

The wedding is being held at a villa that we've hired, close to Solerche. It is not your typical wedding venue. The facilities will be similar to that of a large house. Please bear in mind that any staff at the villa may be friends helping out, not staff that are used to assisting with a wedding!

On the day, the venue will be clearly signposted from the main road. There is plenty of space to park, and cars can be left overnight if friends and family prefer. In the event of heavy rain, we would suggest you avoid parking in any olive groves. The soil is very spongy and sticky when wet! There is plenty of hardstanding at the venue and more on the looped road above the wedding villa.

The exact location of the villa can be found by clicking on this pin...

Food & Intolerances

We will be providing canapés at 5.30pm and a cold buffet between 6.30pm and 8pm. Due to family members having allergies, it is imperative that we are a nut-free venue. Please ensure that if you bring any food with you,  it does not contain any nuts. We will have vegetarian options available. If you have any allergies or are vegan, then please let us know and we will make sure to accommodate you.

Attire

We encourage you to wear layers so that you can adapt to the weather on the day. The weather in May could be hot. The dress code will be smart casual so that family and friends can wear shorts, skirts or summer dresses as they please. There is no requirement to wear trousers, a tie, a hat or a jacket, unless you specifically want to. If women would like to wear white, then they are more than welcome to. There will be access to a swimming pool, so children (and adults) are encouraged to bring their swimsuits.

Additional Information

We are really sorry but because the venue is situated within the Sierra Subbetica Natural Park, we would prefer there to be no confetti.
